About: Hon. Mukaya was one of the most renown WARRIOR of Central Africa in the late 19th century. She bravely led the Luba people with an empire extending along the rain forest from Zaire to northern Zambia. After her brother Kasongo Kalambo was killed in battle she assumed sole control of the empire and the army and ruled for many years.
